How to order "Black Coffee"
I love ice black coffee, and always I drink it even if im on cold days in Japan.but, In Singapore, "Black Coffee" is not understood for Singaporean except Starbucks.So, if you want to order it, you have to speak other name.one day, I went to cafe near our office and I choose "Ice Kopi-O" which is written on menu because I guess it is black coffee, but staff serve the coffee which include suger and milkthen I found that I mistake to order, so after this I try to order black coffee, for example speaking no suger!! no milk!!, but almost time, staff did not understand what I order...some weeks ago, when I order black coffee with very very wrong Pronouncement, Singaporean cannot understand but they guess what I want, then they tell me maybe it's Kopi-O kosomg, so if you want it you should say it!!so after this, I use this word when I order, and staff can understand what I want.you should this word when you come here~
