Since university is starting again tomorrow, I figured that I should write about my summer vacation. I'll probably won't have any time for it later. And it's been really cold here in Vienna since September has started, so I thought that thinking about the nice weather in summer will warm me up a bit. 晴れ

My summer vacation started in the end of June and there wasn't anything exciting happening until August. Ramadan was in July this year so we spent the entire month with fasting. Because the days were really long we couldn't do much while being hungry and thirsty. One major thing that happened during that time was the engagement of my cousin. We didn't have a big engagement party, though. It was a small family dinner with close relatives. My cousin is still 18, which is too young in my eyes but it's her decision and if it makes her happy there is nothing else for me to say. I wish her the happiness that she deserves.

In August we finally went to Turkey just like every summer. We stayed there for three weeks, which was definitely not enough. First we went to our hometown Kayseri and stayed there for a few weeks. It was really nice to see my family there. Seeing them only once a year is really not enough. We visited a lot of people and did a lot of shopping. (´∀`) One day we also went to have a barbecue by the lake. It was really nice to spend the entire day together with my family.

After that we went to Antalya for five days. We stayed at a hotel called Euphoria. It was a really nice hotel and I'm glad that it wasn't too crowded. The weather was so nice and hot but it wasn't too humid. We swam a lot and had really nice food there. On some afternoons we went out of the hotel to shop in the city. We also went to the anicent city of Side. It was wonderful to see the remains of the city. It felt like I wasn't even in Turkey.

On our way back from Antalya we stopped by at Denizli to go to Pamukkale. I've been there before once a few years ago but we went again because Batikan has never been there. It was a really long car ride but it was worth it. There were remains of an ancient city as well. They were really pretty. Even though the day was really exciting it was also very tiring. We arrived in Kayseri at midnight.

The next few days in Kayseri was full with shopping and spending time with the family. My aunt came to visit us from Sivas for two days and we also went to Sivas for a day to visit some family members who live there.

We went to Istanbul for the last two days. On the first time we couldn't go to many places because it was already night by the time we arrived. So we only went to Sultanahmet since it was the nearest place to the hotel we were staying at. To my surprise there were a lot of Korean tourists, since there was a Korean Expo in Istanbul at that time. There was even a Music Bank in Istanbul but that was long after we returned to Vienna. On the second day we tried to visit as many places we could. At first we went to a big shopping mall to do the last bit of shopping. We had some doughnuts and I had a delicious frozen yogurt from Pinkberry. I wish we had Pinkberry here. After we were done with shopping we went to Taksim and Istiklal Caddesi. I got some presents for my friends from there. Then we had a Bosporus Tour with a ship. The weather was really clouldy so the photos I took didn't turn out that well but it was still really nice to see everything. Lastly we went to Sultanahmet again and by then the days was already over. I've never been in Istanbul before so it was a really nice day for me. But I don't think that I could live in Istanbul. There were so many people there and it was hard walking through everyone. I prefer it when there are not so many people.(^ε^)

We returned to Vienna on the next day. It was a Sunday and on Monday my brothers' school started again, so that was the end of their summer vacation. But I still had one month left. I spent that month together with my mum since we were the only ones left at home during the day. We visited friends together and went shopping. In the middles of September my cousin came back from Turkey and stayed with us for two weeks because her parents were still in Turkey and she had to work. Those days were a lot of fun since she is one of my best friends. And with that my summer vacation was over.

I kinda miss uni because I had nothing to do for three months and it sometimes got boring when everyone was gone. But I don't know how I'll feel about it once all the homework and exam stress starts again. (´_`。)
