North Korea has stressed the legitimacy of its second hereditary power succession, from leader Kim Jong Il to his third son Kim Jong Un.
The Korean Workers' Party official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, carried an editorial on Wednesday, exactly one year after Kim Jong Un was named as the next leader.
The editorial called for unity under the party's leadership, which it said will be passed on to the next generation and stick to the path of revolution with a military-first policy.
In Pyongyang, a stone monument has been built with an inscription saying it is the people's happiness to have Kim Jong Un as their leader.
In the capital, other structures including a high-rise apartment and a theater are being built to mark the centennial of birth of the country's founder Kim Il Sung next April.
The completion of the buildings is expected to be hailed as an achievement of Kim Jong Un.

正恩氏登場から1年 北朝鮮は3代世襲の正当性強調

北朝鮮の対韓国窓口機関「祖国平和統一委員会」のホームページ「わが民族同士」は28日、故金日成（キム・イルソン）主席と金総書記の発言を伝え、革命精神や革命偉業の継承を力説した。正恩氏は党代表者会で党中央軍事委員会副委員長として初めて姿を現しただけに、金日成一家の偶像化を通じ、3代世襲の正当性を主張する意図があるとみられる。
朝鮮中央テレビは住民とのインタービューを通じ、「（党代表者会は）将軍さまを信じ、革命の偉業を継承、完成させていこうとするわが軍隊と人民の固い信念と意志の表れ」だと評価した。昨年の党代表者会で行われた大規模な権力再編を金総書記への信任として正当化している。
朝鮮中央通信は「白頭の血統を受け継ぎ、党の領導を高く奉じる際、2012年に向けた最高潮の勝利を実現できるというのが、この1年間の闘争行路が示した結果だ」と主張した。「白頭血統」は金主席から金総書記に受け継がれる家系を意味するもので、引き続き忠誠を誓うメッセージが盛り込まれている。
韓国のシンクタンク、世宗研究所の鄭成長（チョン・ソンジャン）上級研究委員は「正恩氏に対する支持が少なく、（正恩氏の）政策に対する指導力が不十分なため、北朝鮮当局は正恩氏が金主席と金総書記の指導力を受け継いだとの認識を住民に植え付ける必要があるのだろう」と説明した。
