平和都市・広島から 世界へ笑顔と平和のメッセージを発信！
12年ぶりに開催された
「MERRY in HIROSHIMA」。
世界で活躍するアートディレクターの水谷孝次さんの「子どもたちの『笑顔』から広がる未来への『希望』と『平和』」とのプロジェクトです。
広島市の平和公園で、子どもたちの笑顔をプリントした傘を開く、アートイベント💚
「笑顔の傘」に写るのは、アートディレクターの水谷孝次さんが平和を願い、世界35か国を訪問して撮影した子どもたちです。
この笑顔と平和のパフォーマンスが 11月10日（木）から13日（日）までの期間に、
広島各所で開催される演劇・ライブ・映像で平和 を発信する新しいイベント
「PEACEFUL THEATER in HIROSHIMA」
のスペシャル映像 になります。
この映像を手掛けるのは、カンヌ映画祭で受賞した
広島出身の 映画監督、映像作家である中野裕之監督。

「核、核という言葉が最近出てきた。僕らの笑顔でバリケードを作るみたいな、そんな感じをもって映像を作りたい」
映像作品は来月開催される「ピースフルシアター」で紹介される予定です。
「笑顔は世界共通のコミュニケーション」をテーマに、あえて、この悲惨極まりない場所から、人類の宝物である世界中の「子ども達の笑顔」を届けるMERRY PROJECT。
私が持たせてもらった笑顔の傘は、ドバイの笑顔でした。
今回の「MERRY in HIROSHIMA」は、カンヌ映画祭で短編映画『IRON』がヤング批評家賞を受賞された広島出身の中野裕之監督とのコラボで、この笑顔と平和のパフォーマンスです。
広島市西区の田中まさる市議会議員もご一緒でした。

The images in the "Umbrella of Smiles" are children photographed by art director Koji Mizutani, who traveled to 35 countries around the world to pray for peace.

The video work will be introduced at the "Peaceful Theater" to be held next month.
The smiling umbrella I was given was the smiling face of Dubai.
This time, "MERRY in HIROSHIMA" is a performance of smiles and peace in collaboration with Hiroshima-born director Hiroyuki Nakano, whose short film "IRON" won the Young Critics Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
Mr. Masaru Tanaka, a city council member from Nishi Ward, Hiroshima City, was also with us.
