Pre-SIHH 2015: Introducing the Richard Mille RM 33-01
The new Richard Mille RM 33-01 meets every aesthetic http://www.syrauto.co.uk/cartier-roadster-replica-uk.html aspect that is to be expected of a simple Richard Mille sport-themed watch. It has taut lines, a fast-paced theme and just enough skeletonizing to show off its titanium hardware.
From a design perspective, the RM 33-01 can be considered a marriage of two models that we’ve previously covered – the RM 63-01 Dizzy Hands and, more importantly, the RM 033 Extra Flat Automatic. Our own Paul Boutros took a look at the latter in this “A Week on the Wrist” review, and it shares the majority of its DNA with the new RM 33-01 (such as a 45.7 mm case, which Paul surprisingly found to be suitable even for his 38 mm taste).
The RM 33-01 incorporates its predecessor’s dramatically curved lugs, which allow the watch to hug the wrist and probably wear a lot smaller than it measures. Being 9.2 mm http://www.syrauto.co.uk/ thick likely helps in this regard. While the majority of the tripartite case features a sandblasted finish, the circumference of the bezels, lugs and even the gear-shaped decoration on the crown are hand-beveled and mirror polished to perfection.
The same decoration can be observed on the dial, starting with the blasted and beveled dauphine hands, which have almost grown to be a trademark of Richard Mille models http://www.syrauto.co.uk/cartier-pasha-replica-uk.html. The outsize, graphic numerals on the sapphire crystal emphasize the model’s sporty nature. The same goes for the red-tipped arrow hand within the running seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. At first glance, these details are all very fast-paced, industrial and numerical (almost reminiscent of an Aventador’s speedometer – as strange a comparison as that may be).
