観世流能楽師で当、大槻能楽堂公益財団法人の理事長を勤めさせていただいております大槻文藏でございます。
My name is Bunzo Otsuki, a Kanze Noh actor and the chairman of the Otsuki Noh Theatre. The theatre is registered as a public interest incorporated foundation.
この能楽堂は私の祖父十三が昭和１０年に立てたものでございます。その後、５８年に大改修を致し、また令和元年・２年と大きくリニューアル工事をさせて頂き新しく生まれ変わった能楽堂でございます。
The theatre was founded by my grandfather Juzo in 1935. The facilities were refurbished in 1983, 2019 and 2020. It is now a modern and welcoming venue.
しかし乍ら、能舞台は創建当時のもので国の登録文化財に指定されております。
However, the actual stage remains exactly the same as it was when the theatre was founded. The stage is now registered as a national cultural property.
当能楽堂では、年間２０回ほどの自主公演を催し、東西の名手の来演をお願い致し優れた演能をより環境の良い能楽堂でご覧いただきたいと企画をいたしております。
We hold performances roughly twenty times per year, inviting the best actors and musicians from all over Japan. Our purpose is to show excellent performances in the best possible environment.
また、能楽堂をご使用に関しまして能以外のものにもこの特殊な構造の能舞台をご利用くださる事で、これ迄と違ったアート表現をして頂けるとお考えの方々に是非ご使用頂きたいと思い、設備を整えさせて頂いております。
We have made the theatre available for other artistic performances. If you feel that your performance may be enhanced by the unique structure of our Noh theatre we would very much like to help you.
