"Many people are disconnected from their emotions and lack any awareness of how they actually feel"

I quote this from Joey Klein's book,  "The Inner Matrix"

I've currently signed up for the free online meditation course which is led by Matt LaBosco.  This is my second time joining in the group but it seems like different people sign up each time.  He told me I could and might want to take it again and again

Let's look at this passage closely from the book.  I've noticed that a lot of us are disconnected from emotions in general, let alone, lack awareness of how we feel. We get caught up in life easily and often excuse ourselves by saying we don't have time.  Well that's because we don't make time, we end up not having time.  Awareness is oh so important in my life.  Everyday, I'm taking an opportunity to observe others as well as myself out of curiosity that what's really happening to us.

There are times I feel uncomfortable feeling my own emotions.  Let's get real, who wants to admit in their face that you don't feel the vibe when someone is awfully nice and polite to you or you're jealous because you secretly believe your friend is better than you?  Particularly for me, I'd like to be nice and friendly to others so it's hard to just tell it like it is. Or feel it like it is. But I don't necessarily like to feel that kind of Oh Gosh!!!  Why it's dragging me down??? feeling. So it's easier for me to shut it and not to look at it.  It's sealed, it's done, it's deep deep down in somewhere I don't see!

Well, the book adds to say,

"When we are not feeling how we feel, it is impossible to know how unseen emotions are driving our thoughts and our actions."

It can be also said that if you are pretending not to feel how we feel, it is impossible to know how pushed down emotions are driving our thoughts and our actions.

Uh oh.  That's bad.  That ain't good.  It's like you're pushing yourself from the edge of the cliff and pretending not to feel how hurt you are when you're thudded in the bottom.  I mean if you miraculously survived out of this though.

Feeling your emotions can eventually liberate you from being stuck in the fear based feelings and thoughts. It frees your mind from being shackled to your own creative, dramatized, false thoughts which often gives you an illusion of you're being hostaged or victimized.  In other words, you'll become free as a bird.  You can fly away anywhere you want to!  Now you're talking, right?

Surrender!  Again, it's becoming my cliche but that's what I'm practicing.  Feel it, become aware of it.  But eventually, let go.  Surrender.  Don't hold it anymore.  Drop it.  In order to do that though, after all you gotta feel what you're feeling.  You don't get to surrender if you don't feel it cause how can you let go of what you don't know you've got?  It's a paradoxical thinking but without feeling what you've got, how you'd know you've got what you don't need?  Therefore, feel what you're feeling.  It's okay, allow yourself,  it'll only give you an opportunity to live the life you're meant to live.
And of course that's what I tell myself everyday, anytime I reslize that I'm going there.

Love y'all as always!
