Johnson 1 2 / Heroes / Verve 628 864-2　　軽快なメロディー、起承転結、解りやすい構成は隠されている。　　真夏の昼下がり、世界は明るく静かに時の移ろいを反芻するよう、石畳いっぱいに零れる広葉樹の燦めき、ゆったり揺れる木漏れ日。　　心地良い午睡の甘露をたっぷり味わえそうな予感、そんな期待が実に嬉しい。　　パッパッパ…*、パッパッパラパー…*、颯爽と彼方を仰いだ疾走・風切り・Warpは小気味よい。　トロンボーとフリューゲル・ホーン、Saxが歓び勇んで走りはじめる辺りは、魅力に満ちている。　　歓びを押し隠し、慇懃に跳躍、撓め・溜めと発声を我慢しつつ日頃の想いをかき鳴らす打弦。　　エネルギーの放射の歓びに、腰をぐっと押し出し、身もだえ打ち震えるホーンアンサンブルの咆哮。　　滔々とリード（Soprano & Tsophones）を振るわしスリリングな、素速いブローイング、矢継ぎ早に快活な小節を繰り出す、豊饒の思惟の展開が実に味わい深い。　　ホーンがゆったりした親しみの主題を朗々と提出、すぐさまリードが受け継ぎ明確に繰り返す、何時しか互いに饗応しつつ展開部に入る、これらの響き合うなんと鷹揚な満ち足りた色彩だろう。　　中速の新たな主題、キッパリとホーンが提出、目眩くリードがありとあらゆる展開を披露、キャリコ、キャリコ打弦が軽快に小手先でやっつける。　　ホーンと長弦が対話に入る、相手の言うことをよく聴き、すかさず持論を発表。　　最初と同じ、パーパーパッ！、パーパッパー！、……、パッパッパー……、ホーンアンサンブルが入念に小節を提出、リードはいきなり展開から突入、グリグリ・ギャオギャオ咆哮やりたい放題、想いのたけをブローイング、あっさりしなやかな嫌みのない音色。　　打弦は、素速い軽やかな転がしを存分に。　　締めくくりのまとめは無く、消え入るように、後ろ姿を消す。　　J.J. ♯♭♪ (*^.^*) ： 　Johnny Griffin 1 2 / A Blowin' Session 　♪ 　　ジャケットは、黄金に輝く残照の夕陽を受けてたくさんの鳥が飛翔している下で、Johnny Griffinが眉間に皺を寄せ汗をかき演奏中。　　この煤けた印象の絵は、充分な状況でない収録から来るくすんだダイナミックに乏しいサウンド、さり気なさと強い思惟の混沌としたもので忘れられぬ。　　古いビルの狭い階段を登った、長きにわたって拭き込まれた木の艶と、コーヒー煙草の香りが付きまとう新宿DIG など密室の空間と重なる。　　3人の（Ts）奏者、J. Griffin,H. Mobley,J. Coltrane（Ts）がジャムセッションを繰り広げており、吹っ切れた感じの、洗練された乾いた熱気が、すばらしい！。　　既に確立している3人3様のスタイル、音色の確認が楽しめる。　　決して五月蠅く感じさせないジャムセッションのサウンドは特異であり、むしろ圧迫感が無く、これはこれとして好ましい。　　The Way You Look Tonight（9:40）、J. Kernの曲、Art Blakey（Ds）のキックで颯爽としたテンポで駆け出す。　　J. Griffin（Ts）のすばらしい！快速ブローイングは想わず、嬉しくなる歓喜を生み出し提供する。　　L. Morgan（Tp）の見事な放射はもの凄いスピードで吹き散らす。　　ついでJ. Coltrane（Ts）の渋くて良く浸透するトーンで、これも目まぐるしい全開スピードでブローイング、とても心地良い。　　そしてJ. Griffin（Ts）の溌溂とした必至の追撃は、Art Blakey（Ds）の胸の透くチームプレイ、悲鳴のようなブローイングに項垂れてしまう。　　Ball Bearings（8:10）、L. Morgan（Tp）のストレートな放射は、いきり立っておらず五月蠅くなくてよろしい。　　J. Coltrane（Ts）の丸っこいトーンのリードは、さり気なく見事なブローイングをやってのける。　　すっくと直立し、芯のあるトーンのリードはストレートでありとても好ましい。　　L. Morgan（Tp）のソロ、跳躍するように踊るようご機嫌で放射。　　J. Griffin（Ts）の朝露のような新鮮な黄緑のスイートコーンの音色はなんと妙なる安らぎに満ちておるのか！。　　続くH. Mobley（Ts）と時々放つ低音”ブワッ！！”は大好きなんだ。　　W. Kelly（P）の屈託のない明快なタッチは、絢爛で流麗なんだが、しかも何処か朴訥でセンスがいい、なかなか形容しがたい魅力がある。　　Art Blakey（Ds）の巨木の切り出し光景に呆気にとられておると、完！。　　All the Things You Are（10:14）、W. Kelly（P）のテーマの提示で開始、すぐにJohnny Griffin（Ts）のブローイング。　　次ぎにJ. Coltrane（Ts）のソロ、ついでL. Morgan（Tp）のソロは巻き舌風なとこも。　　W. Kelly（P）のよく歌う明快なプレイを経て、P. Chambers（B）のソロ、Johnny Griffin（Ts）のソロ、合奏となりスッキリしたコーダ。　　Smoke Stack（10:13）、ブルース、W. Kelly（P）がテーマを提出、Johnny Griffin（Ts）のソロ、とても溌溂としたトーン。　　ついでL. Morgan（Tp）のソロ！、やはりはいきり立っておる、がいったい何にだろか！？。　　J. Coltrane（Ts）の空間を包み込むようなトーンでの、大乗仏教を想わせる、寛大にして滋味溢れるありがたいブローイング。　　W. 顎を背に乗っけていると暖かくて『ゴロ～∝∽！、∝∽……！』と『ドドド！、……！　』の混じった船に乗ったような、エンジン音と体全体の息づかいが顎の骨に直に伝わり波動がズンズン伝わる、『あぁ*……*』。　　先日の夕刻、下に降りて行って無精髭の山男の話を聴く。　　『今は何をやってるんや？！……、イワナはオフだし、大磯はとっくに飽きたんだろう？！……、そうか～山菜かぁ？！……』　『ん……、山菜もいいがなんと言っても最近はキノコだな～、……で売ってるのと全然っ違うっ！。
