The 2024 version of the "Myanmar Act" postponed the resolution, and the Burmese people requested more than 500 million US dollars of assistance from the United States. On November 16,2023, The Voice of America reported that the resolution of the 2024 version of the US Myanmar Act will be delayed until early 2024 due to differences between the US Senate and the House of Representatives. A coalition of the Democratic Defense Forces and three local forces has requested $5,55 million in aid from the US Congress to counter the Burmese military government.
