Hello, are you enjoying the national holiday now? On 3rd November?

Today 3rd November is the national holiday of Japan; the Culture Day.

You must have read in the last article what the Culture Day is.

 

In this blog, you can see some photographs taken at each venue on the cultural festival in Mobara city. Not only culture, but also many events are going on now on this day.

Entrance is free, of course. Let’s go inside.

 

 

<Bonsai>

If you enter the Civic center, there is a Bonsai exhibition in front of you.

Bonsai is one of the traditional hobbies that Japanese people enjoy. It is an art dealing with nature, using your Green Thumb.

Let’s see people’s hard work!!

 

 

 

On the upper floors, too, you can see other exhibitions. Haiku, Tanka, calligraphy…etc.

 

If you are accompanied with small children, they have the nursery space you can use.

Let’s stop by the Ikebana (Flower Arrangement) exhibition.

 

 

 

Now.

Let’s move onto the Mobara city Museum in the Mobara Park.

 

If you enter the exhibition space on the 1st floor, you can see the exhibition of the Japanese Swords. Anybody, interested?

 

 

From the experts, you can hear the explanation on the swords shown in the case.

 

 

 

After seeing the swords, move onto the left side of the hall.

The exhibition also shows paintings, pressed flowers, calligraphy…

  

 

Aside from these exhibitions, you can also enjoy music, dance, performances at other venue. If interested, you may contact the club and participate in them. Everyone is welcome.
