How Stretch Film Extrusion Line Works
A stretch film extrusion line transforms plastic resin into the clear, stretchy plastic film used to secure pallet loads. The process begins with polyethylene pellets being fed into an extruder. Inside, a rotating screw pushes the material through heated barrels, melting it into a uniform liquid. This molten plastic is then forced through a flat, horizontal die, forming a thin, continuous curtain of film. The film is then cooled on large chilled rollers, stretched to orient its molecules for strength, and finally wound into large rolls, ready for distribution and use.
