本日の話題はFoodについてのボキャブラリー
知らない単語は自分で例文を作って、使いこなせるようにアウトプットしていきましょう!

crumbs(noun) : a very small piece of dry food. especially bread or cake.
EX : he swept the crumbs from under the table.

Rotten(adjective) : no longer good to use food.
EX : the strawberries have been in the fridge for too long and so now they have turned rotten and cannot be eaten.

crunchy(adjective) : food that is crunchy is firm and makes noise when you bite it.
EX : there cookies are very crunchy.

bland(adjective) : food that is bland has very little taste, very simple no spices added.
EX : the vegetable soup was rather bland.

swallow(verb) : to make food or drink go down your throat and towards your stomach.
EX : chew your food before your swallow!

fattening : food that makes you gain weight.
EX : if you want to lose weight you should not be eating burger and fries. they are very fattening.

appetizer(adjective) : a food or a drink that stimulates the appetite and is usually served before meals.
EX : would you like to have soup or a salad as an appetizer before your meal?

cook up a storm(idiom) : to prepare a large quantity of food.
EX : i have invited a lot of people for my birthday party next week and i could use some help to cook up a storm!

done to a T(idiom) : to be cooked just right.
EX : my steak was neither over cooked nor undercooked but just done to a T!

wine and dine (someone) (idiom) : to treat someone to a nice meal.
EX : on my first date I would like the guy to wine and dine me at a fancy Italian restaurant.

to spice up (verb) : to season your food with spices.
I spiced the chicken with chillies.

portion (noun) : an amount of food for one person served in restaurants.
EX : this restaurant also serves kids portions.

ちょっと混乱するのが、否定文も肯定文も質問内容は同じなの!紛らわしいけど、間違えないでね!

she manage the money for a business. she is an accountant, isn't she. yes she is.
she isn't an accountant, is she. でも答えは同じです。 yes she is.

he designs the plans for new buildings. he is an architect, isn't he. yes he is.

he is farmer. he grows food for people to eat, doesn't he. yes he does.

you are a lawyer. you don't go to court and argue in front of a judge, do you. no you don't.

she is a professor. she doesn't teach classes at a university, does she. yes she does.
