Leachman sues BIA officials over horse seizure

Leachman's complaint Alshon Jeffery Jersey said the BIA seized without his consent 820 of his horses southeast of Billings on April 2, 2011, and sold them at auction.

Leachman alleges his right to due process was violated.

At the time of the auction, Parisian said he thought it was the biggest sale in BIA history because such situations usually are resolved easily. He was sentenced to 120 days in the Yellowstone County jail as part of a five year sentence and fined $5,000.
