This workbook is intended to be used during attending a Cornerstone Method of Childbirth Education course. We are delighted to offer Muslim families information about birth that supports their specific needs and is both empowering and complementary to their beliefs and values. You will find that we have included drawings and photographs that are modest and inclusive of all types of birthing Muslims. We have been sensitive to Islamic dietary laws, and integrated Islamic thikr into the easy to follow relaxation scripts (access the original scripts in Appendix C). Our hope is that all types of Muslims will feel comfortable using this book. If you have any suggestions for improvements in the book or instructional methods, please bring it to our attention.
