"O" Cirque du Soleil
You know Cirque du Soleil, now there is the "O" version. The "O" comes from the way the French pronounce their word for water (eau). This 70 million dollar production is sure to impress. The show features a one and a half gallon pool at marked cards center stage, and enough going on that it is sometimes hard to keep up. This ninety minute show can be seen at the Bellagio Hotel.
The Blue Man Group
A popular act in New York during the late eighties, and then moving to off Broadway in 1990, The Blue Man Group brought their act to Las Vegas in 2000, and has been a Las Vegas staple ever since. The group is comprised of a trio of men with painted blue faces and dark costumes. They do not speak throughout the act, but everything is acted out in skits and music. They have even been known to involve the audience. They can be seen at the Monte Carlo Hotel.
The Jersey Boys
This musical tribute of the Four Seasons, who were a popular pop group in the sixties, is portrayed in docudrama form. The story is told from the perspective of each of the four members of the group. Twenty of their biggest marked poker hits are featured over the two act show. This show is the winner of four Tony awards, including best show. The Jersey Boys can be seen at the Palazzo Hotel.
Penn and Teller
If magic and comedy is your thing, you won't want to miss this show. This act has been together since 1975, and has been playing to packed houses for a good part of that time. Many things make these guys unique, but one of the biggest is that they will actually explain how they do the trick and still leave you amazed. They are currently playing the Rio Suites Hotel.
Terry Fator
Many will remember Terry Fator from his win on America's Got Talent. Part of that prize was being featured in a Las Vegas show, and he does nothing to disprove that he deserves that honor. Many who have seen his show say they would definitely see it again. You can see Terry and his cast at The Mirage.
It would be difficult to see all of these shows in one trip to Las Vegas. It would be safe to say that you will not be disappointed in any of these five shows. You owe it to yourself to take in one, or more, of these shows.
