With the help of tutorial software it is now easy for a player to learn how to play blackjack and practice at home before risking money in a live game at the casino. Because basic strategy and card marked cards counting are based on mathematical principles it is possible to program software to instruct the player how to make the correct decisions while playing the game. The correct software can be helpful to players regardless of their skill level. Novices can learn basic strategy, experienced players can learn card counting and expert player's can run simulations for strategies and betting systems. One program that fits the needs of all players is Casino Verite by QFIT software.
Casino Verite is the most sophisticated blackjack software program I have used. This program is the top of the line and designed to duplicate a realistic casino experience. You can chose to play the game or use any of the built in drills to practice to practice you skills.
There are several graphic displays trick cards for the game mode you can chose from the ultra realistic that looks exactly like a table in the casino complete with the shoe and discard tray. In the game mode you actually move your chips from your stack into the betting circle .You then use the mouse to simulate the hand signals you would use at the table. The program has a casino file that has 895 sets of rules for over 500 casinos around the country. You can duplicate the playing conditions of your local casino. You also have the option to program your own set of rules variations for the game.
When you start the program you select your skill level. There are settings for Novice, Advanced and Expert. The program will advise you to the best strategies to use.
The novice can play the game and be alerted to mistakes in basic strategy or pl ay without advice and look at the error log after play is complete. If you want to practice basic strategy decisions without playing the game you can shoe the basic strategy flashcard drill. This will show you your two cards and the dealers up card. You then chose to hit, stand, double, split or surrender.
