Ak-kaya ("White rock") is one of my favourite places in Crimea. This is a huge vertical rock, It's height is about 352 above sea level, and it's a typical crimean cuesta. Many years ago it was a sea bottom.
This autumn there was a beautoful ballon shon ner the Ak-Kaya.
We had to spend the night on the top of the rock to see the ballons flying early in the morning.
September night was quite cool but the morning sights were worth it!
It seemed to me I saw a burning man... But that was just an illusion :-)
The show was amazing! But I think it also was a very destructive for the ecology of the Rock. Too many cars and too many people for this ancient place...
