1. In Russian we have the verb "чебурахнуться", that's means "to fall". For example, "I feel out of bed". So, 'Cheburashka' is about creature, who always falls. Japanese movies about Cheburashka has some troubles in Russia due to lawsuit.
2. Japanese and Soviet artists created movie 小さなペンギンロロの冒険, which also called 'Soviet anime'.
3. In the postsoviet countries one of the most popular series is "Ну, погоди!", "Винни-Пух" (Winnie The Pooh). Soviet version of Pooh is pretty different, even Christopher Robin here does not exists.
4. "Ну, погоди!" (with only 17 original series) is one of the longest cartoon series created in USSR.
