Together, they head to the Mana Tree, uncovering the truth behind the system of sacrifices and Alms along the way. As with previous games in the franchise, Visions of Mana is an action RPG. You control a party of three characters and can switch between them anytime. Each character has basic moves: a regular attack, a special attack, and abilities for jumping or dodging. The revamped exploration vibes, which are basically the main event of the saga, have been given a major glow-up to match today’s standards, kinda like how Genshin Impact is all the rage. So, the heroes’ journey to the Mana tree is now lit with huge, interconnected maps you can roam everywhere, packed with life and popping with vibrant, fairy-tale aesthetics. The awesome locations where our adventures unfold are made even more fun with collectibles that pop up on your screen and interest points marked on the map. But honestly, you can breeze through the game by spamming a few basic combos and the occasional super move. The tutorials make a big deal out of extra mechanics that you don’t really need to worry about much to get through the game.
