Print NFL owners are using the same script.
New York Jets owner Woody Johnson released a statement Saturday afternoon about the work stoppage.
"It may take longer than we all had hoped," Johnson said Donald Driver Jersey, "but New York Jets fans should know that a deal will get done Bradie James Jersey, and I remain confident that there will be NFL football in 2011. Although I was very disappointed that the union chose legal maneuvering over negotiating Miles Austin Jersey, I am convinced that our differences can be resolved at the bargaining table."
Johnson's prepared comment was similar to what Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters Friday in Washington D.C. after talks broke down with the artists formerly known as the NFL Players Association.
"The answer is, we'll get it done Nike DeMarco Murray Jersey," Jones said. "The answer is, we won't miss any football. Certainly, that is our goal. Their move into litigation will ultimately result in going right back into negotiation, in our view."
So the message is one of optimism: A deal will get done, and the players' decision to decertify for litigious purposes will stimulate negotiations.
