Here's the final trailer for the new JJ Abrams film. And this latest installment in the Star Trek saga, “Into Darkness,” with the new crew introduced in the last movie, is no less inspiring and sweeping in it's vision. My Review (of The Good That Men Do). Previous trailers for the new Star Trek have shown the crew of the Enterprise put through the wringer, but the scope of this latest one makes it look even more absurd than ever. I'll start with the good things, Star Trek Into Darkness is a great ride. Minutes Enterprise time, a lifetime as a married man on a world that was destroyed a millennium previously. The bad guys are uber bad, and the good guys are our most loved good guy crew of the Enterprise. In the current novel continuity the story is set after the events of Star Trek Enterprise. Not the costume wearing, convention going, Klingon speaking fan--but the other kind of big fan. Amidst the chaos Kirk regains command of the Enterprise and embarks on a mission to take out the mysterious John Harrison. They do such a great job that, by the end, it feels like you can't wait for the “5 Year Journey” to begin so we can join this new family and follow them around the galaxy yet again.
