Another week has passed so here I am again!

Golden week Holiday has started but....

I don't think we will be going anywhere outside Aichi

because Fred is loaded with assignments !!

But if there is one place I wish to go,

it would be MIKIMOTO PEARL ISLAND in TOBA

which is located in the prefecture next door, MIE.

The founder of MIKIMOTO ( it's a family name )

is a TOBA native.

Maybe it's because the birthstone of June is Pearl,

I like pearl a lot, more than diamond.

But I still feel that wearing pearl is not

suitable for my age now though I have a pair or two of the cultured pearl earrings.

PORTABLE SAFETY ALARM.

As I look at them, I think of the one I have -

Fred bought it in SG and gave it to me, 4 years ago?

It's so ugly that I do not even want to have it in my daily bag.

And so it is kept in my "Emergency / Escape bag"

Looks aside, I do give recognition for it's purpose.

The alarm is loud.

But since April 2010,

everything I buy comes designed.

They are styled and beautified.

For example this eye wash.

It looks nice even as a decoration piece

樱花谢后的树长什么样呢？

就是这样，

禄禄的。

一转眼就从全白到全禄一片。

美丽生命很短暂。

Greens and hats everywhere are

saying that Summer is coming ..

The season I dread most,

because it's even hotter than SG !!

Today, we met up with ex-classmates and had a

"new food experience"

You can see,

uncooked food on sticks,

batter,

breadcrumbs.

It's....

Buffet of DIY Fried-stuff... (70 mins)

Enjoyed for the first half but left the restaurant saying

we wont come back anymore.

Clothing reeked of oil smell... Yucks....

Next :

I always have this thought,

" Shopping in Jp for anything

is sooo much better than SG "

even for the smallest item like a

paper clip for eg., JP has a wide range

to offer.

My today

We have started learning the

various ways of making

glass this week. As an absolute baby

in the glass world,

I know I have a lot to learn from now on.

But fortunately, my teachers are

v patient and nice people. ('-^*)

I am also taking wood carving and terra-cotta

as elective subjects this semester.

One of my teachers, Niimi-sensei had a talk

at his exhibition in Seto-city today, so,

to show my support, I had to go !!

Fred cant let go of his camera today,

such a pity.

Could only take pictures with my HP camera.

And it produces effect like below :

Anyways, for 2 of the 5 balls,

he intentionally created air bubbles

to form the shape of a cone and

a ring of bubbles in the glass.

I really think its v pretty and

he says he will teach me the technique.

*touched*

I was expecting a " Thank you " only

Fortunate to have such teachers to

impart their knowledge and skills to us.

No spotlight on this except the

natural daylight

have the glass absorb the

surrounding light and make itself glow....

Every thursday evening, we have a glass demo by

Kosei-san. This was what he did for this week.

Quite cool, isn't it?

He's a cool teacher too.

Having seen their works,

I think I could tell what kind of person

they are

and

I realised that its easy to look up to them.

Lastly,

the cups we did during the last few weeks

of the language school were ready for collection.

Name written on the base adds sentimental value to it !!

Mine was slanted nonetheless I still like it much.

Because you can never find a

out-of-shape cup in the market.

How did the rest turned out to be after

firing in the kiln? Mystery forever.

The cup done on 11th March 2011,

A date remembered forever.

Yesterday was the University Entrance Ceremony

and every Japanese student came in Business Suit...

(ﾉ´▽｀)ﾉ

While the 2 of us went in casual clothes !!

Actually大概知道会发生这样的事.....

所以今天我买了此生最贵的衣服。。。

It's the first time I see myself and Fred in Business Suit.

Made in Japan, 真合生。。。

BUT, why do guys look smarter than female in suit ?

Anyways, the shop assistant was super helpful and

very knowledgable in suit.

What we learned today :

In Japan, they have suits for various purposes,

For interview, for party, for work...

Our purpose was for Ceremonies and Job interview....

So it HAS TO BE PLAIN AND BLACK !!

and Shirt HAS TO BE WHITE....

Dress code for interview is DECIDED... So rigid ....

We knew nothing so he had been a great help !!

Japanese really pride themselves

for providing very very good service...

Went to the bank today too,

apart from the super friendly service,

We were given a lot of freebies for signing up a card....

Nail polish, nail glitter powder, Card holder,

bath set, detergent, dish sponge.....

贪小便宜....好开心 ！！

But of course,

living in JP also has it inconvenient part...

After moving to the new area- North Nagoya,

we have to go to the local ward office to

let them know we have moved to this area

and apply for new health insurance

and then go back to the previous area ward office

to inform them that we have moved and to cancel the

health insurance...

很麻烦就是了。。。

FELT VERY AT HOME IN THE NEW PLACE....

IT'S MODERN, NO TATAMI

AND VERY WELL LIT...

STAYED FOR 2 DAYS BEFORE WE CAME BACK TO SG.

I SLEPT WELL BECAUSE I FINALLY HAVE MY OWN BED.

APART FROM THE BASIC FURNITURE,

THE LANDLORD GAVE US

SOME GOODWILL-ITEMS TOO...

CANT EXCLAIM HOW PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE

THE JAPANESE HOUSE-MOVER COMPANY WAS...

THEY LAID PROTECTIVE MATS ON THE FLOOR,

THE WALL, THE LIFT....

JUST 3 PERSON BUT SPEED WAS FAST !

THEY PROVIDE 1 F.O.C SERVICE OF

MOVING THE POSITIONS OF THE

FURNITURE IN YOUR NEW HOUSE WITHIN 1 YEAR.

PLUS, IT'S F.O.C TO HAVE THEM COME BACK

TO COLLECT THE CORRUGATED BOXES...

( IN JAPAN, THEY HAVE A SPECIFIC DAY AND TIME

TO DISPOSE RECYCLE MATERIALS -

CANT THROW THEM OUT ANYTIME YOU WISH )

AND THEN THE GAS AND INTERNET PERSONNELS CAME..

THE GAS GUY LOOKS JUST LIKE A JOHNNY'S JUNIOR., 23.

HE HAS BEEN TO SG VIA TRANSIT OF 7 HOURS.

SO THEY VISITED THE MERLION...

WHEN I TELL THE JAPANESE I AM FROM SG,

THEY USUALLY REPLY :

SERRAGOON CENTRAL, THEY HAVE A DOG

V V HAPPY THAT PAN PAN & LAPPY

COULD RUN WITHOUT LEASH AND HAVE FUN !

AFTER THAT, WE WENT TO THE DOGGIE CAFE...

WHERE MY PAN PAN WAS VIOLATED ...

COOKIE TRIED TO DOGGY F**K HIM,

AND URINATED ON HIM TOO...

BUT

THIS COOKIE WAS A MALE,

AND HE BELONGED TO 向云 AND FAMILY,

I THINK THEY GOT A GAY DOG....

I DISLIKE THE TROPICAL CLIMATE AND

ANOTHER THING ABOUT LIVING IN SG IS

TO PUT UP WITH SUPER BAD SERVICE ATTITUDE...

MY FRIENDS & THE FOOD !!

What memories the cups will bring~

The cups we did yesterday will be ready for collection in May.



It will definitely remind us of the shake we felt and the terrible footages of the destruction the Tsunami has brought....

We had planned to enjoy the final last week with friends but just can't do so when the place we are in, is in such a bad stage..

They make searching easier
