Real👑Alcazar SEVILLA🇪🇦 "El Patio del Yeso" 📷 was discovered by the Architect Tubino during the late nineteenth century. It consists of a rectangular courtyard with a center pool around which the rooms are distributed. During the Almohad period, there were two porticos that opened to this courtyard. Today there is only the southern one, a jewel of the Almohad architecture; It consists of a larger central arch, on aris with the door of the room behind and flanked by three smaller arches on columns on each side. This portico is composed by lintels, so there is no weight over the archs, its only function is decorative. The decoration of these walls is called "tsebka", a typical Almohad and sevillian style. The architect Ahmed Ben Basso will use this style to decorate the exterior walls of the Giralda.
