今回は17日に行われたdormerのレコーディングの様子を
アップ致します。
前回に引き続き、エンジニアは益子さんです。
（いつも後ろ姿ですいません・・。）
dormerとして再加入したベースの大槻聡にとっては初のレコーディング
となります。
彼はscope-typeの楽曲『未開地』以来、数年ぶりのレコーディングでした。
最初は「ライヴより緊張する。」とブツブツ言っておりましたが、
各パートのセッティングが終わり、いざ録音が始まると徐々に長年の感を
取り戻したようで作業はズムーズに進んで行きました。
今回はベース&ドラムのリズム隊の録音を中心に進めていったのですが、
ガイドとしてヴォーカルのBandoh氏と僕も同時に仮録音をします。
ドラムのKeita君も順調にベストテイクを収めていきました。
これはセッティングの様子
久々に使用すると言うチャイナシンバル。（こんなもの持っていたのか・・）
聡にとっては長年のブランクを感じさせない内容で
ベストなトラックを次々と収録していき素晴らしい内容でした。
リズム隊２人の作業効率の良さが功をそうして
リズムトラックは約8時間の枠のなかで4曲を録る事が出来ました。
全ての曲を収録した後、機材を片付けている最中
ふとベースをみると、弦が切れてました。
まるで、今日の役目は終わった。とベース自身も分かっている様で
彼にとっては長年連れ添い、特別な想いを寄せている楽器なので、
何かの意志があるようにも感じられましたね。
トラック録音後・・リズム隊は完全に力尽き、休日のお父さん状態に
なっていました。
２人は朝も早かったし、
久々のレコーディングで相当、集中力を使い肉体的、精神的にも
一気に疲れが溜まったと思います。
本当にお疲れさまでした。
そして、次は僕らの出番です。

We "dormer" start to make a new album !
Our recording engineer is Mr. Masuko as before.

It is the first recording for Satoshi Otsuki, our bassist who joined again as
member of "dormer" after several years passed since he played
for the recording "Arcadia".
At first, he was upset ” It makes me nervous more than the concert !".
However, as soon as each musical instrument finished preparations,
and recording began,
he got the hang of it again. All advanced smoothly.
This time, the bass & the drum did the mainly recording.
On the other hand, for guiding the melody, the vocalist Bandoh and I, the guitar also did the temporary recording.
Keita, the drummer recorded his part smoothly.

The China cymbals which were long silence, I've never seen that before...
Satoshi, the bassist, his performance did not let us feel a longtime blank
really at all.
Thanks to effective collaboration work, we were able to record the rhythm truck
of four songs in eight hours.
After having recorded all music, the string of the bass guitar broke.
My duty of today was totally over...as if his bass guitar totally said so,
itself seemed to totally realize it.
Because he plays longtime this bass guitar and has a special thought and many memories,
a musical instrument seemed to have own will.
They made every possible effort and completely burnt out.
It looked like a father who was exhausted to spend time with his family
on holiday.
From early morning, they were asked to concentrate and it was physically
and mentally used up energy for them.

The next recording will be the part of the vocalist and the guitar.
