After receiving the ticket for this year's adventure, I purchased myself some kimono motivation!
I hadn't been feeling up to wearing kimono recently. I hoped that this book might have some tips in it that I could use in hotter weather, or to help make dressing up easier.
Most of the tips in the book were things I already knew, but it's nice to have an english book to refer to.
I also took my pet lizard to his first ever vet checkup. He was in really good health! (He also pooped on me while I was holding him in the waiting room... )

In June I ginished knitting a few things.
This pouch is for holding cloth shopping bags.
This is a simple lace shawl. The border is knitted with a different yarn.
It still needed to be steamed into shape though.
I purchased myself a knitting book as a reward for finishing it!
Later in the month I received some skincare to help prepare myself for the trip.
HadaLabo Gokujyun lotion refill.
It works super well for me during the past summer, but during winter it wasn't hydrating my skin well enough. I had used just over half of the bottle within a year.
Kikumasamune High Moist lotion.
This was a backup bottle of the nearly empty bottle I purchased in Sydney last year.
I found it worked really well with the Gokujyun lotion to hydrate my face. I think I spilled a lot due to how stiff the pump could be.
I purchssed this to try, hoping it would act like a bb cream.
It's a new Biore sunscreen that was released earlier in the year. I can't remember if this is the brightening or the spot-hiding one.
I purchased a big bottle of general sunscreen too, for face and body.
I have to make sure to use it well in summer since the city is to crowded to use a parasol.
I purchased these cheap sheet masks out of curiosity.
It's a resealable pouch of 30 sheet masks. I'm hoping to use these everyday so I can save my nicer masks for occasional use.
The fit isn't great, they dry out quickly, but for once-a-day use they're fine. Plus they're around 700円!
At the end of the month I received an item I've been wanting to get for a long time...
A corset!
I wanted one to help with my back pain by correcting my posture.
It was really comfy to wear, and helped me sit up straighter. The problem was that because of my crooked hip, the corset didn't sit straight on my waist.
I now need to decide if I'll keep wearing it and risk damaging the corset, or just sell the corset to someone else. Even though it was a cheap corset, it costs too much for me to destroy it...
And finally my knitting reward!
A book in english of Hitomi Shida's knitting stitch bible!
All of the stitches look so pretty!
I'm planning to knit some bathroom curtains using one of the lacy stitches.
Even though I didn't do much these months, the months after kept me a bit too busy and I forgot to write blogs...

On one of my nighttime walks to the supermarket, I saw a rabbit again!
He gave me a scare when he ran across the road, but there were no cars on the road that night.
I did a big clean of my lizard's enclosure.
His hide needed a long soak overnight, so I gave him a tissue box to use in the meanwhile.
The capsicum seedling I planted a little while ago finished growing a fruit! Mum said it tasted terrible due to how tiny it was.
My rose bush showed three flower buds for the first time!
It's grown another group of three flowers since then!
I tried to make an effort to dress extra nice.
I purchased a new long-sleeve top and a pale pink duster to help encourage myself.
To end the month, something exciting arrived...
My ticket to the New World Final Fantasy concert in Sydney!
I was really worried before the concert was announced that I didn't have an event to travel to Sydney for, but my worries are over!
Now I get to worry over what I should wear!

I recently purchased some transparent acrylic draws to store my crystal collection in, but there were some gaps left. I got some crystals from a local store to help fill up the drawer and add some colour variety.
Pale orange: Orange calcite
Bright blue: Blue argonite
Spotted green: Alantisite
Pale blue: Blue lace agate(?)
Black and white: Zebra marble
I got a drawing of my favourite character as a reward for supporting the artist Crimson Sun.
They drew a Tonberry on the envelope too!
On the 14th I travelled into town to fetch a perfume sample for my mother, then to the craft store to buy yarn for a project.
When I left the shopping center to travel pack into town, the weather decided to dump water onto me!
I only had a cotton parasol so I ended up completely soaked...
At least the skies looked quite beautiful with the lit-up clouds and the masdive rainbow~
This was the yarn I purchased.
It's for a mystery knitting pattern called Addition By Subtraction. The pattern would be themed around a noir-style story and released in chapters every week!
A few days later I received a pet carrier for my lizard Chompie. I needed it so I could take him to the vet for his first ever checkup.
More yarn!
I ordered these from America. The green yarn at the bottom were needed for a future project, while the yarn at the top would be turned into various colourful shawls.
I also received this tanmono!
It's cotton fabric for yukata. I've been wanting to buy it for many years, but finally decided to purchase it.
I'm going to send it to a tailor in Japan to have it sewn up later in the year~
On the 22nd I started knitting a shawl with one of the yarn cakes ftom America.
On the 28th I received some replacement ear cushions for my headphones.
I couldn't find any instruction on how to change the cushions, so I was really scared about breaking something. Thankfully the headset was easy to pull apart and I replaced the cushions without issue!
Finally, at the end of the month, I started the noir-themed mystery knitting project!
It was my first time knitting with four different colours.
