Custom-ordered specs are good, paid for good performance, sharp/bright/fairly big screen with solid hinge, (no stuttering with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66, XP downgrade), ~5hrs battery life with extra bay battery, decent weight, nice materials/textures, not too noisy or hot, lots of security features, cool XP Tablet Experience Pack utilities/apps, good pen sensitivity, some programmable buttons on screen.
$2300 price/value relationship, many broken promises and delays in build/ship, can't tell when it will be delivered or why it's delayed, ~12 phone calls and three emails, constantly jumping through hoops for them with battery such as Fujitsu Lifebook C2310 Battery , Fujitsu FPCBP85 Battery , Fujitsu LifeBook P7010 Battery , Fujitsu FPCBP86 Battery , Fujitsu FMVNBP118 Battery , Fujitsu FPCBP69 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook P5020 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook P5010 Battery , Fujitsu FPCBP49 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook P1030 Battery , canceled order, back-ordered parts, salespeople & mgr never called back or did what they promised, can't ship anywhere but credit card billing address, didn't have pressure sensitivity or full pen button menu customization because they didn't include/install or even know about the needed Wacom enhanced graphics driver, unknowledgable sales/service, not enough programmable screen buttons for tablet mode, etc.) = Absolutely infuriating and exhausting sales/service experience buying directly from Fujitsu. If you don't need custom specs don't buy direct!
Excellent chat support on Fujitsu web site! As a notebook the T5010 performs really well. The keyboard has a solid feel (the keys don't jiggle ...), the screen is is better than most, quiet operation and fast. In my consultative role I love the tablet functionality and wonder how I have lived without it. Notes and diagrams just flow.
