Better things were to come in some of the sequels, particularly my favorite of the series ‘puppet master iii: toulon’s revenge’ which is set during world war ii and delves more deeply into andre’s background and may serve as a better introduction for newcomers to the franchise.

You see, the nazis want toulon because they want to find a way to bring the dead back to life as expendable soldiers, and they reckon he’s got a solution. this puppet head was custom made for the production and is an unfinished test head. In berlin during wwii, the nazi regime is attempting to develop a drug. Gestapo agents face killer dolls when they murder puppeteer toulon's wife in this prequel to puppet master. The basic premise of the movie is there are these little dolls (5 of them, with a 6th added in the 2nd) that run around killing people in delightfully adorable and macabre ways. So, the character needs to be capalbe of crafting multiple little killers and completely controlling/animating them. Unfortunately, puppet master: axis of evil does nothing to capture any of the things i loved about the first two puppet master movies.
