Here’s my honest take after listening to the Momentum True Wireless 2 through 4 — and to cut to the chase, the MTW2 is by far the best.

The MTW2 has warmth, balance, and a natural smoothness in the highs. There’s no harsh edge, so you can listen for hours without fatigue. It’s the model where Sennheiser’s signature sound really shines — cohesive, rich, and beautifully detailed.

The MTW3, on the other hand, is a complete miss. The upper mids and highs stand out in the worst possible way — piercing and unpleasant. I couldn’t get through even one track. In my opinion, it’s simply not worth buying.

The MTW4 fixes the painful sharpness of the 3 and is definitely an improvement. However, it separates the mix too much — each part of the track feels like it’s playing on its own, without blending together. The bass also sits too far back, which makes it unsuitable for techno, drum & bass, or any bass-heavy genres. Still, it’s much better than the 3, and if you mustbuy a pair of wireless earbuds, it’s an acceptable option.

Of course, this is just my personal view — but I honestly don’t understand how the MTW3’s tuning ever passed quality control.
I really hope the MTW5 brings back the warmth and musicality that made the 2 so special.
