Acer Aspire One Mini Notebook

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the Acer Laptop Battery

As the pile-on continues to release sub-notebooks with a $400 price tag Acer and Dell are the latest to join the scrum. The Acer Aspire One will come with an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, the first of the group to get this new chip from Intel.

Acer is the number one seller of notebooks in Europe and third in the world over all, so it was logical for them to jump into this game. The Aspire One mini notebook with battery like Acer Aspire 1551 Battery , Acer Aspire 1830 Battery , Acer Aspire One 721 Battery , Acer Aspire One 753 Battery , Acer LC.BTP00.002 Battery , Acer CGR-B/6H5 Battery , Acer AS09F34 Battery , Acer AS09D56 Battery , Acer AS09D70 Battery , Acer AS09D36 Battery , Acer LC.BTP00.052 Battery , Acer AS09D34 Battery has been leaked on the web with pictures over the past couple of days but the specs have been short coming. A poster in our forums with inside knowledge has claimed the specs will be the following for the first available Aspire One model:

Processor: Intel Atom N270 (1.6 GHz)
Chipset: Intel 82945GMS + Intel 82801GBM
OS: Highly modified Acer Linux (Acer smartfile manager, home page navigator)
Memory: 512 MB
Mass storage: 8 GB SSD
Screen size: 8.9" Acer CrystalBrite (1024x600), LED backlight
Wireless: 802.11b/g, Acer SignalUp technology
Ports: 5-in-1 cardreader, SD slot, 3xUSB, VGA, RJ-45, headphone/lineout, microphone, Acer CrystalEye webcam
Keyboard: 95% full size keyboard, touchpad with scroll zone
Dimensions: 249 (w) x 170 (d) x 29 (h) mm, 2.17 lbs
Power: 3 cell, 2200 mAh, 30 W AC adapter
The Price is expected to be 299 EUR (taxes included) which would convert to $450 with a simple currency exchange, take out taxes and assume a lower price in the U.S. (hey, it's just cheaper here) and you would guess about $400 state side. After about a month of time after the first release a version with Microsoft XP would be released that contains an 80 GB SATA hard disk and 1 GB memory. The price for that model would be expected as 399 EUR (taxes included) ($620).

The Aspire One would be the first Intel Atom based netbook, unless of course Dell can beat them to market with their offering...
