New cool Japanese shop has just opened in Hikarie Shibuya.
"d47 design travel store" is the place you can find various Japanese local foods, lifestyle goods, tools which all came from 47 prefectures of Japan!!

There you can find a restaurant of local food, made with local ingredients. To whom interested in Japanese products, worth going!! Now they are doing "NIPPON 47 BREWERY", sounds so fascinating...

渋谷ヒカリエのd47 design travel storeに行ってきました。ナガオカケンメイ氏のD&DEPARTMENTが新しくオープンしたお店です。

お店には47都道府県から集まった昔ながらの生活雑貨や道具、食品が並び、すべてのモノには産地の都道府県名と生産背景などが書かれたカードがついています。
自分の故郷からやってきたモノを見つけたときの喜び！！

身近にありながら、今まで気付かなかった「いいデザイン」に気付かせてくれる素晴らしいお店です。我々の目標です。

Traditional tie-dyeing meets Germany lady!

Traditional tie-dyeing "ARIMATSU-SHIBORI" meets German young lady Mrs. Eliza!! She is going to study fashion design and was interested in Japanese traditional craftsmanship. "It is sure that design reflects Japanese traditional tie-dye will be accepted by the European fashion market!" she said.

Together with his husband, she came to Japan and decided to learn this 400 years historical method of tie-dyeing. She couldn't even speak Japanese but gradually, throughout her training, she learned.

She developed her original leggings with ARIMATSU-SHIBORI and this attracts many buyers from department stores!! "Foreigners' sense" "Young people's fashion idea" "Challenge spirits" and "Japanese traditional craftsmanship" met together and created a brand-new culture!! We believe this kind of interesting attempt will be a power for Japan to revive. TRANIPPONAL will be a bridge between those people whom interested in Japanese culture and craftsman...

And this is what we are thinking about actually.

"By spreading Japanese superior contents to the world and make them as business, we can provide many opportunities to people and also stimulate local society. COOL JAPAN has a big potential power to break through our sense of stagnation.
As a first step, we, Japanese should find good thing in Japan ourselves. Then spread our culture to the world and meet with the other cultures, we can create new culture.

Historically Japan absorbed excellent foreign cultures and then convert them to Japan way, finally created brand-new Japan culture. This is just amazing. And maybe, Japanese is the one who doesn't know most about this amazing culture. "

We will try our best to know our own culture.
