イエスはオリーブ山に登ってった。
Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
ある朝早く、イエスはまた神殿にやってきたんじゃ。
And early in the morning he came again into the temple,
民衆も皆イエスに着いてきたんじゃ。
and all the people came unto him;
ほいで、イエスは座ってから、教えを説いたんじゃ。
and he sat down, and taught them.
そこへ律法学者たちやファリサイ派の人らが、姦通の罪で捕まった女を連れて来たんじゃ。
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery;
ほいで、その女を真ん中に立たせてから、
and when they had set her in the midst,
そがあなんらはイエスに言うたんじゃ。
They say unto him,
先生、この女は姦通の罪で捕まりました。
Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
さて、律法の中でモーセがわしらに言うとりますのう。
Now Moses in the law commanded us,
そがあな女がおったら、石投げてから、しばいたれ、いうて。
that such should be stoned:
ほいじゃけど、あんたはどう思われますか。
but what sayest thou?
そがあなんらがそがあに言うたんは、イエスを試すためじゃった。
This they said, tempting him,
そがあなんらはイエス（が気に入らんけん）訴える口実を探しとったんじゃ。
that they might have to accuse him.
ほいじゃが、イエスはそがあなんらの言うことを聞いとらんでから、しゃがんで、指で地面になんか書きよった。
But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
ほいじゃが、そがあなんらがイエスにえらいしつこう尋ね続けよったもんじゃけん、イエスは立ち上がって、そがなんらに言うた。
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them,
われらん中で罪を犯したことのないもんが、まず最初にこがあなんに石を投げたらええじゃろうが。
He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
ほいで、イエスはまたしゃがんで、地面に書きつづけた。
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
それを聞いたもんは、やましさに駆られてしもうて、年長のもんから始まって、ひとりずつ、おらんようなってしもうた。
And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last:
ほいで、あとには、イエスひとりと、真ん中に立たされた女だけが残されとった。
and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
イエスが立ち上がると、女以外に誰も見当たらんかった。
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman,
イエスはその女に言うた。
he said unto her,
ねえちゃん、あんたをなぶりよったもんらはどこへ行ってしもうたんじゃ。
Woman, where are those thine accusers?
だれもあんたをとがめんかったんか。
hath no man condemned thee?
その女は言うた。
She said,
誰もおらんかったです。主よ。
No man, Lord.
ほいで、イエスはその女に言うた。
And Jesus said unto her,
ほいじゃあ、わしもあんたをとがめんことにするわ。
Neither do I condemn thee:
行きんさい。
go,
ほいじゃが、もういけんこたあすなや。
and sin no more.
そのとき、イエスはもう一回そがあなんらに言うた。
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
わしは世の光じゃ。
I am the light of the world:
わしに従うもんは暗闇の中を歩くこたあないんじゃ。
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
ほうじゃのうて、いのちの光を持つんじゃ。
but shall have the light of life.
