A little girl at a wedding asked, "Mommy, why do brides always wear white?"
"Because they're happy, "the mom replied.
Halfway through the wedding, the girl whispered, "Mommy, if brides wear white because they're happy, then why do grooms wear black dress ?"

How to dress well

Great fashion style is about knowing what works for you and personalizing your look. Blindly following fashion trends whilst ignoring your age is not a smart thing to do.
Here are the basic rules about dresses : First and foremost, clothes must fit well! It doesn't matter how great a shirt is if it looks ill-fitting. It doesn't matter how much a pair of pants has been marked down if it pulls into a pronounced "starfish" shape where the legs meet the crotch. Simple clothing that fits well is far better than fancier clothing that just "doesn't look right."
Twenty-somethings: This season's sleeveless ruffle-styles, and lots of volume can be carried off with aplomb when you are in your twenties. The younger you are the more embellishments you can get away with. Shapeless styles look young and refreshing. Necklines can be low, hemlines high.

Dress for a wedding

Her big church wedding was fast approaching, and my friend was delighted to hear that her mom, emerging from a nasty divorce, had finally found the perfect mother-of-the-bride dress.
Two days later, she was shocked to learn that her new young stepmother had purchased the same dress. My friend asked her stepmother to buy another dress since her mom had already altered her purchase.
Her new stepmother refused.
After two more weeks of frustrating shopping, the bride's mom found a dress that was not as nice as the first, but would serve.
When asked by a friend what she would do with her original dress , she grinned and replied, "I am wearing it to rehearsal dinner!"
