I painted the kettle and the steam, too.
But they didn’t look good.
So I erased them.
They are, especially steam is, difficult to paint!

Painters copy great masters' works to learn from them.
But when Gogh copied a Hiroshige, the result was another Gogh.
And we appreciate it as an original work, seeing in it expressions peculiar to Gogh.
He made a copy of Hiroshige because he wanted to appreciate Hiroshige more by copying him.
And we rediscover Hiroshige through Gogh's copy of him.
