View from Nabekanmiri Observation Deck

I visited an observation deck on Mt.Nabekanmuri yesterday. Thanks to fine weather, I enjoyed a bird's eye view of the whole city of Nagasaki from there. It was spectacular. What's more, I could see a superliner, Majestic Princess. The ship made the landscape even more nicer.

昨日は鍋冠山にある展望台を訪れました。晴天のおかげで、展望台から長崎市の全景を楽しめました♪素晴らしかったです。さらに大型豪華客船マジェスティクプリンセスも見れました。船が景色をよりいっそう素敵にしてくれました。







 

Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum

I visited the Nagasaki peace park. Then, I went to the Nagasaki atomic bomb museum and toured there for about one hour and a half. Honestly I felt depressed after leaving the facility. It was tough to face the facts, but it reminded me that spending ordinary days peacefully is truely a blessing. The facility is not a pleasant place, but I think it's a must-visit place once when you come to Nagasaki.

長崎記念公園を訪れ、それから長崎原爆資料館に行き、約一時間半施設を見学しました。施設を後にしたときは、正直憂鬱な気持ちになりました。事実に向き合うのは難しいことではありますが、毎日を平和に過ごせることは、本当に幸せなことだと気づかせてもらいました。喜ばしい場所ではありませんが、長崎に来たときは、一度は訪れるべき場所だと思います。

Cherry blossom trees in Ohmura Park

We visited Ohmura park in Ohmura city for the first time. The park is known for its magnificent cherry blossom trees in Nagasaki. It is also designated as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing sites. The cherry blossoms were more beautiful than I expected they would be. We were blessed with a great weather and feasted our eyes on them.

大村市にある大村公園を初めて訪れました。この公園は長崎では美しい桜の名所で知られていて、日本の桜名所百選のひとつにも選ばれています。桜は想像していた以上にきれいでした。お天気に恵まれ、良い目の保養ができました♪

freezing morning

We slept in sleeping bags in our car last night. I fell asleep at 11pm, but woke up at around 3am because it was freezing cold. I started the engine and warmed my body with warm air for a while. I should have bundled up before hitting the hay. Hopefully it isn't so cold tomorrow morning.

昨夜は車にて寝袋で就寝しました。眠りについたのが１１時。あまりにも寒すぎて３時くらいに目が覚めました。車のエンジンをかけて、しばらくの間暖かい空気で体を温めました。寝る前にもっと着込んでおけばよかった。明日の朝はそんなに寒くなりませんように★

Tenkaippin Ramen for 100 yen

A ramen restaurant, Tenkaippin, in downtown Kumamoto was holding an event to celebrate their 3rd opening anniversary. We joined it and enjoyed kotteri ramen for lunch. Kotteri means a rich taste. The cost was only 100 yen perbowl.. It was cheap and tasty. The event is likely to be held tomorrow, too. I'm now in Nagasaki. Oh, if I had remained in Kumamoto, I would have had the ramen again.

熊本の繁華街にあるラーメン店･天下一品が開店３周年を祝うイベントを行っていました。イベントに参加し、お昼にこってりラーメんを堪能しました。こってりは濃厚な味という意味です。 お値段はなんと一杯たったの１００円♪安くて美味しかった。イベントは明日も行われるもよう。現在は長崎にいるのですが、もしまだ熊本にとどまっていたら、またラーメン食べにいってただろうなぁ～
