アメリカに来てから
歯のチェックをしていないので、
治療費が高いのを覚悟で
歯医者に行ってきました。
レントゲンを撮ってもらって、
歯を一本治療して、
歯のクリーニングをしただけで約６万円( 
´Д｀)
高すぎです。。。
虫歯はもうないようなのですが、
次に治すとすると「この部分です」と言われて
値段を聞くと約１２万円。
ありえません(( ；ﾟДﾟ))
予約はいつにしますかと聞かれて、
そんなにお金がないのでというのは
恥ずかしいと思ったけど、
「またお金の余裕があるときに電話します」
と言っておきましたｗ
それよりも驚いたのが、
こっちの歯医者には、
治療の後のうがい水がないんです
その代わりにうがいをしたい場合は、
歯医者が水を出すスティック状の物を
患者の口に入れて患者がゆすぎ、
その水をバキュームで吸い取るようです。
意外なところでカルチャーショックでしたｗ
I hadn’t gone to a dentist
since I came to America,
so I decided to go
even though I knew the cost would be very expensive.
My dentist took a X-Ray of my teeth,
cleaned my teeth,
and fixed one tooth.
The total cost of those was about $600.
It was way too expensive
I don’t have a cavity anymore,
but the dentist said if he did next step,
it would be “this tooth”,
so I asked him how much it would cost.
Then he said it would be about $1,200.
That’s crazy
He asked me when I wanted to do the next step.
I felt embarrassed to say I didn’t have enough money,
but I said “I will call you when I can afford it.” lol
Anyway, I had a more surprising thing there.
There is no water to gargle with after a treatment
Instead a dentist uses a stick (gun?)
that gives water in your mouth.
After you rinse your mouth,
the dentist uses a vacuum to suck the water up.
I didn’t expect to have such a culture shock at a dentist!
