A court has heard how a taxi driver was beaten with a glass bottle.
He also suffered injuries to his arms, hands and body after being punched, kneed and bitten in what gardai believe was a dispute over a fare.

The court heard how Crowley (27) was detained near the scene a short time after. Detective Garda James O'Donnell said he was covered in blood.
He made no reply after he was charged but Fitzgerald (22) said she was sorry for what occurred to the taxi man.
