Today, I want to talk about being solitary.
The main reason I feel like discussing a serious topic is that I have many opportunities to pore over my future dream, careers etc while staying alone.
It is a highly controversial issue whether or not being solitary is positive or negative thing in Japanese society.
In my point of view, I strongly believe that being solitude is positive or important for Japanese young people especially, because it provides us with ample opportunities to think back our life or think about what we should do in the future.
But, unfortunately, being solitary or lonely is seen as eccentric behavior in current Japanese society.
So, many young people in Japan are more and more addicted to the evaluation of other people.
For example, the development of SNS such as Twitter, Facebook, instagram etc.
Although using SNS is not necessarily bad for us, overreliant on them may lead to obsession with the evaluation of other people or content of what we posted and it may stunt our formative development of our human relationship.
In different point of view, it is said that being solitary is one of the most integral aspects of our human evolution scientifically.
So, I want to emphasize that being solitary shouldn't be ashamed. We should be proud of solitude. If you are suffering from solitude now, you should relinquish such a trite idea and make strenuous efforts to develop your virtue or future without obsessing with the evaluation of other people.
Don't be afraid of being solitary! Hang on that!
