He never tires of telling his followers about his workout antics on Twitter.
And it seems Russell Crowe likes showing off the results too after he donned a pair of tight shorts as he went to meet a friend in Los Angeles on Friday.
The fitness fanatic no doubt impressed his cohort with his physique when they met up outside a trendy coffee shop in the well-heeled Beverly Hills area.

Man of Steel: Russell Crowe showed of his hard earned physique in a pair of tight shorts as he ventured out to meet a mystery man for coffee in Beverly Hills on Friday
The 49-year-old looked in good shape in his all-black ensemble of T-shirt, shorts and trainers, which was a good thing given the tight nature of his gym gear.
His appearance came on a day in which he boasted on Twitter about doing, '100 air squats, 400 sit ups, 12 min elliptical, shoulder routine 11ex x 10 reps, 3sets x 10 reps bench, lat , 13 km bike ride.'
So
no wonder the Robin Hood star felt he was entitled to indulge himself
with an expensive hot beverage while he took a well earned rest.
Perhaps
he was discussing his forthcoming commitments promoting surefire summer
blockbuster Man Of Steel, in which he plays Superman's Kryptonian
father Jor-El.

And he said it was
just one of many surprises he got when trying to act with the four
babies who played his on-screen son in the film, which is released on
June 14.
He said: 'So I learned a lot. I had new experiences as a parent in this movie.'
