The Breitling sort of makes the standard version look dull by comparison. I hate
to say that, but the neat skeletonized dial with the more interesting material
choices simply interest me much more. That isn't to say that the standard
breitling

Most of it is palladium as i said (which is
heavy just like platinum), then you also have ceramic for the bezel, titanium,
and rubber which is used on the crown and chronograph pushers. I do always like
ceramic bezels for their durability, and in this case the bezel is finely
machined with an attractive design. An interesting and unexpected feature is a
sapphire crystal window on the side of the case that offers an operational view
of some gears. What you are actually seeing is part of the internal rotating
bezel system.
Attached to Breitling watch is actually a nice strap with
two types of rubber. The top layer is stitched to the bottom layer and looks
like carbon fiber. Rubber is actually a good material choice for the strap
because it allows you to have a comfortable, secure fit that prevents the watch
from moving around - an issue given the size and heavy material choice. The
buckle and pin are in titanium.
Wasn't it clear that with a name this
long, the Breitling was going to be a cool and probably quirky creation? It has
mainstream functionality without being in any way mainstream. I've always been
