Christmas 2012 was the 2nd Christmas in a row that I've spent with my family in Australia. We had a really good time. Here's a picture of my tree to start things off.
Actually, I woke up at like 9 o'clock on Christmas day, and I had totally forgotten to wrap my families presents. So I quickly got it all together and wrapped them up in my room before they noticed.
We proceeded to open all of our presents for each other one by one. My brother made a killing; receiving the most presents overall by far.
In Australia, Christmas is a predominately family orientated day, so normally you don't spend Christmas day with other people such as girlfriends/ boyfriends or friends. My family played some darts, threw the football, and played some monopoly along with some other things.
As maybe you can tell by this picture, I won monopoly in a landslide victory haha
Next came the Christmas lunch. In our family we have a very nice lunch, often having legs of ham and whole turkeys, along with steamed vegetables. It is probably the best food I eat all year, so its definitely a highlight of the year. We also pull the bon bons, wearing the party hat and saying the jokes that are contained inside.
