Now he’s among the class of elite talent that was invited to the NHL Scouting Combine. It’s been quite a journey for a young man whose journey back from a broken femur (in three places actually) was recently documented by the NHL’s official website. He not only made a WHL roster, he scored 30 goals as a rookie, was listed in every “in season” NHL Central Scouting ranking and was invited to the CHL Top Prospects game. The invite to the combine was just the latest step in what has been a crazy year for the man whose hockey sense highlights his skill set. I had the chance to chat with Coda about his experience at the combine and what he has been working on during the off-season.
