Visited Kawagoe yesterday and at first I thought of visiting some of the shrines, temples and just look around.
Everyone (even the tourism information) told me that the candy lane is something special and worth but since it was monday (often the closing day for temple/shrines) there would probably be 10 of the 20 shops open.
The first walk from the station to the big temple was 25 minutes. I’ve been walking allot lately (certainly the 2h queuing walk in the AGF entrance) that I don’t feel my feet anymore. And I have a really bad sense of orientation ^^; so I thought of taking the mainstreet, walking right to the big temple, taking the same road back to the main street and going on to the bell tower.
For the Candy lane, the map had the left turn all at the end of the mainstreet and I had to look again a bit farther to turn left again. I was a bit hesitant to where to turn left since on the map it said at a traffic light to turn left but I was standing one street before the traffic light in front of a huge candy story and in the small left street there were more colorful shops …
So well, just took that little street that I walked to the end before doing a U-turn.
Think there was a little one happy in that alley ^^;
And I bumped on something unexpected at the really end of the alley too!!!! Hahaha. BTW, we still haven’t seen Art eating that ^y^
