I was so happy when my #Dad finally made good...

I was so happy when my #Dad finally made good on his #promise to a 7-year old me to take me to the #Aerodrome in Rhinebeck. When I was a teenager, we moved to Alabama, then to Florida, then I went to Arizona and Australia and back to New York (with a few other places in between for me....phew!). We never had the opportunity to get back together and visit! But this year....it happened! He took my old Nikon D90 that I'd given him, and I had my Canon 70D, and we had an awesome day. It might've taken a quarter of a century, but all my poking at Dad for how long it took wasn't serious. It was awesome being able to go with our own cameras, a stronger appreciation of aircraft (that's a still-flying #BleriotXI in the background!) and...dare I say...some wisdom to pepper our conversation. #dadgoals #achieved #flight #pioneer #wwi #nikond90 #canon70d
