61日目、ダンス上手な女性たち!
英国からボランティアに来ていた女の子のところに遊びに行きました。明日帰るというので、おしゃべりして、英国の見どころなどを教えてもらいました。とってもフレンドリーで、私のつたない英語にも付き合ってくれました。「どうしてボランティアすることにしたの？」は"What made you volunteer ?"っていうらしい。
彼女と母子入院しているお母さんたちと赤ちゃんと一緒にダンスをしたのが楽しかった！まだ20歳前後のお母さんもいて彼女のリズム感あふれるダンスに見とれてしまいました。

Every womem dance very well!
I visited a girl who is a volunteer from England. She will go back home tomorrow, so we talked and told me some view spots of England.She is very friendly and joined my poor English. According to what she says "Why did you decide to do volunteer work? “Is "What made you volunteer?"
I enjoyed dance and song with her, mothers and her babies in my workplace! There is a mother who is around 20 years old, I was fascinated by her dance. It is full of rhythmical sense.

テレビをつけると、女性が何やらスピーチをしています。ガーナには10の州があり、州ごとの代表のようです。
子どもの教育がどうのとか、まるで選挙の候補者のようです。ガーナ女性ナンバーワンを決めるテレビ番組が「ガーナ's・モースト・ビューティフル」です。
いくつかの部門があって、今日はNo.1パフォーマーが選ばれました。私が今住んでいるイースタン州の出身者でした！

Ghana's most beautiful
When I turn on a TV, women made a speech or something. There are 10 regions in Ghana, they are representatives of region.
They talked about education of child or something, they look like candidates for election. The TV program that choose No.1 woman in Ghana is "Ghana's most beautiful".
There are some sections in this contest, this time No.1 performer was selected.
She is from eastern region where I am staying now!
63日目、任地の豚肉
鶏肉と同じく、豚肉ももちろん骨付きです。骨付きというより肉付きの骨といった方がいいかもしれません。なぜなら、ほとんど肉と呼べる部分がないから。肉の臭みが強く、分厚い皮はピンク色です。
茹でて皮と脂肪と骨を外したら、もとの量の10分の1くらいに・・。現地の人は骨付きのまま全部スープに入れて皮ごと食べるから骨付きで売っているのでしょうね。牛の皮の部分だけを売っているのも見かけます。まるで筒状の分厚い板ゼラチンのようにしてありました。
肉は大きな町のスーパーマーケットで骨なしの肉をまとめ買いしてストックしようと心に決めました。

Pork in my town
They sell pork with bone the same as chicken. It may be better to express "bone on the meat" instead of saying "meat on the bone”. Because there is hardly seen any meat in it. The smell is strong and skin that is thick colored pink.
I boiled it, and then took off the part of fat and bones, the amount of pork became one-tenth. It may be sold in such a form because local people cook soup putting them all, and eat meat skin and all. I sow cow skin were sold in a market. Those look like tube-shaped thick gelatin.
I promised myself I will buy meat off the bone in quantity at a supermarket in a big town.

いつものように、配属先から帰る途中のホストファミリーのお宅に立ち寄ると、庭に大量のトウモロコシが転がっていました。「あれは何？」と聞くと、トウモロコシを干しているのだそう。「これでバンクーをつくるんだ」って。トウモロコシを干して、3日間水につけて、すりおろして、粉にする。それで「バンクー」は酸っぱくなるんだ。
なぜバンクーが酸っぱい味なのか理由がようやく分かった！

Sun drying cones
As usual, I visited my host family's house on the way to my home, plenty of cones are lying in the grounds."What is that? “I said, they told me that they are drying cones. "We are making Banku with these cones." First, dried cones, then soak them in the water three days, then, grind that. That’s why "Banku" becomes sour.
At last I know why Banku taste sour.
65日目、新しい外国人訪問者
昨日新たに外国からのお客さんが3人やってきました。オランダから2人、ドイツから1人、理学療法の勉強をしている学生さんと義肢装具の学生さんでインターン実習を3か月するようです。
学生達を主な対象にして勉強会をするという目的にしたらガーナ人スタッフも巻き込んだ勉強会ができるかな？

New visitors from abroad
Yesterday, new three visitors from abroad came. Two are from Netherlands, One is from Germany, they are students of Physical therapy and prosthesis, they will intern at this center for three months.
I wonder we will have study meeting include Ghanaian staffs if I propose a plan of study meeting for those students?
66日目、満員御礼
朝10時、子どもたちがテラスに集められたかと思うと、50人くらいの子どもの集団がやってきました。みんな教会のメンバーです。
センターにいる子どもと話をする時間が設けられました。ダイレクターの女性からの話がガーナ人スタッフを通じて子どもたちに話されました。
あるエピソードが子どもたちに向けて伝えられました。両大腿切断の子が学校に行ったときに一人の先生の義足が見える半ズボンではなく長ズボンを履くように言ったとの話でした。ダイレクターは憤っていました。子どもたちもその話はおかしいと同意していました。
そのあと子どもたちはお互いに歌を歌って、一緒にゲームをしたり、ボールで遊んだりダンスをしたりして交流を深めました。遊びにバリアはないんだなぁ。

All seats full, Thank you
At 10 o'clock, no sooner than children gathered in a terrace, a group of 50 children came. They are church members.
The time that they talk with children in our center set up.
One episode was informed to children. When a boy who is bilateral above knee amputee goes to school, one of the teachers said him to wear long pants instead of half pants which is easy to see artificial legs. The director got angry with that episode. Children agreed that is an unacceptable story.
After that, they mingle each other with singing, playing games, kicking balls and dancing together. Playing has no barrier!
67日目、ガーナ対ザンビア
子ども達がテレビの前に集まっているので何かと思ったら、サッカーのガーナ対ザンビア戦でした。
母子入所しているお母さんたちもみんなで観戦。先制点を入れた時は大歓声を上げていました。2対1でガーナの勝利、おめでとう！

Ghana versus Zambia
I didn't know why children gathered in front of a TV, It was a football game Ghana versus Zambia.
I watched it on TV with mothers who are in a center. A shout of joy arose when Ghana scored first. Ghana won a game by 2 to 1. Congratulations!
