Knife making 紫-Yukari- Catting Outline

○Marking-off
Marking-off line is being formed along the paper pattern which was made before with scriber.

Firstly, a steel plate is painted blue with "Hi-Mckee" which is ZEBRA's marker.
As a result, marking-off line can be easily watched.
If possible, a special paint for metal shoud be used.
But it's expensive, so I use Mckee regularly.
Unfortunateluy, Mukee's blue disappear gradually, so you must be careful.

Secondly, the steel plate is marked with scriber.
The paper pattern is locked by clamp while at work.



And then, some points at which you drill to cut the plate are marked.
I marked some points in at about 5mm intervals.




○Drilling some holes
Marked the steel plate is being drilled and portable electric drill can be used to do.
But portable electric drills are low precision and may damage your wrist, so you shoud use a drill press if possible.

Firstly, I drilled some hole with a diameter of 3mm.
In Next step, The plate will be cut from hole to hole.
Thus, the larger a hole is, the easier cutting is.
I resized holes as large as possible.
Specifically, I chaged drill bit from 3mm to 5mm at the maximum.




○Cutting
Final step of cutting outline is "cutting" with a hacksaw.

The steel plate was drilled is cut along holes.
At this time, KURE 5-56 is used as lubricating oil.

Kokoro Resta!(こころリスタ！) - New Work of Q-X -

○Introduction
Q-X which is Japanese game software maker for PC began to sell "Kokoro Resta!" on October 30th.
Kokoro Resta is a titile which means restarting your heart , in other word, a protagonist who is weak in communication falls in love.

○Story
A protagonist, Yuto Nagasawa is a student and has two younger sisters who are dizygotic twins.
Yuto is weak in communication, especially to real girls, and loves fiction's characters in game or anime, i.e. he is Otaku.

In story, there is a browser of the future - IRIS -.
With IRIS, you can browse wed page as if wark in virtual world with avatar such as real yourself called "Rounder".

One day on December, Yuto is sent Kokoro Resta.
This is a magical browser which can convert a user into electronic data, thus a user of Kokoro Resta becomes own Rounder in IRIS's world.
Yuto begins to enjoy communication to various Rounders which is independent from their masters's control, i.e. a new individual personality, with Kokoro Resta.
But, to use Kokoro Resta, a user must commune with real girls.
And Alpha who invent Kokoro Resta orders Yuto to prove a presence of true love.
Will he restart his heart and discover a true love?

○Information
Now, "Kokoro Resta!" is standing for "Moe Game Award 2015".
This award is honor the game software with which the most people become happy.

By the way, "Moe(萌え)" is a rising sense in japanese.
A classic meaning of this word is "germination of a young plant", but now people use this word to express own passion taht is "I want to live for it ! " .

As I was saying, Kokoro Resta is taking the 3rd place within new works on October in Moe Game Award.
And there are 204 vote so that "Kokoro Resta!" reachs next place.
I wish "Kokoro Resta!" to become the top.

Knife making 紫-Yukari- Paper pattern

In Knife making,firstly,it's necessary to design appearance and make paper pattern.
I'm planing to make a sheath knife to use as steak knives.
The design which I think is below picture.


I think to use "銀紙3号 - Silver paper No.3 -"as a steel materials which will become knife's edge.
This steel is produces by 日立金属 - Hitchi Matals,Ltd - and is very good stainless steel.



The picture of the paper pattern I made is above.
A material used paper pattern don't need to be special paper, you should use unnecessary paper, e.g. a cover of old notebook.
So, I use a empty box of KimWipes. I'm a member of chemical laboratory in university, so there is plenty of KimWipe's empty box.

Knife making 紫-Yukari- Introduction

Generally,people think that knives are made by hammerman who must have special skill. But some method us to make knives very easy.That method is called "Stock & Removal method".
We only use electric drill and file to make knives in this method. It's very simple.

I will graduate a universary next Marth, so I decide to make a knife to commemorate graduation. I'm planning to name the knife Yukari which are written "紫", japanese Kanji mean purple. The origin of the name isYukari Karasuba who is a charactor in "Tenshinranman"-Yuzu soft, 2009.
I'm going to design this knife while imaging her.
