Wards of Hiroshima University Hospital.
Thanks to your help, I was discharged from hospital today.
On Friday 24 June, I was admitted to Hiroshima University Hospital for tests where I underwent a full examination.
On Tuesday 28 June, a coronary angioplasty was performed.
Following the results of the post-operative tests carried out yesterday, the attending physician gave me permission to leave the hospital today.
With 740 beds and more than 1,300 staff, Hiroshima University Hospital is one of the highly advanced medical facilities in Hiroshima Prefecture and plays a central role in regional healthcare.
The wards are bright, clean and comparable to those of a luxury hotel.
Breakfast this morning
However, there is a huge gap between the facilities and the food ministry.
Since I was hospitalised, breakfast has been the menu shown in the picture every morning.
Because I have various diseases, even the Eiheiji monks eat a meal with a little more calories. (They don't eat boiled eggs...)
However, as the hospital is well-equipped, there are many temptations.
There are coffee shops, restaurants, convenience stores and even Starbucks in the hospital.
It is possible to go there under the noses of the nurses, but in order to be discharged from hospital as soon as possible, it is essential to exercise restraint and achieve good figures.
If you eat a high-calorie hamburger steak lunch at a restaurant, you are sure to have abnormal values detected in the tests and be discharged from hospital a long time later.
I was in a four-patient room with other patients of the same age with the same illness, and we spent half a day bragging about our illnesses to each other and survived the tedious stay in hospital.
I am not in the habit of watching television, at best I watch news programmes and Carp baseball games, and lights out at 21:00, which is a long night for me, as I sleep two hours a day, twice a day.
I manage to fall asleep around 10pm, but I wake up at midnight and just sit in a daze, not thinking about anything, waiting for the dawn to break.
evening scene at Ujina Port
In the morning, there are tests and rounds to do, so I can kill some time, but after lunch it is a long day.
As is my usual habit, I take a nap from about 14:00 to 16:00, but I can't sleep any longer.
Around 17:00, I would think to myself, 'If I hadn't already, I would be getting ready for a guild war', or at 18:00, 'Which guild am I going to play against today? ' At 18:00, I naturally end up thinking, 'Which guild am I going to play today?
The windows of the hospital room face south and I could only see the neighbouring ward, but when the sun was setting, I would think about the members of Alone 100 and everyone I had become friends with in Hero Wars, while contemplating the view of the sunset over the port of Ujina, which should be on the other side of the neighbouring ward.
Only then did my heart start to beat and I was able to forget about the time, but it only added to my desire to go home as soon as possible.
I am so glad that I was able to leave the hospital today.
If it had been delayed until Monday, I would have been so bored and stressed that I might have developed other illnesses.
Recent stenting procedures in coronary angioplasty have been dominated by drug-eluting stents, which have a metal surface coated with a polymer containing a drug to prevent restenosis.
The performance of drug-eluting stents has improved, and the frequency of complications such as restenosis, where the treated area narrows again, and stent thrombosis, where a blood clot called a thrombus forms at the site of the stent and suddenly occludes it, is said to be very low.
Once again, an artificial component has been incorporated into the body.
Forty years ago, when I was in my fourth year at university, I was involved in a head-on collision with a large drunk-driving trailer that turned right while I was driving my motorbike.
In addition, all of his upper jaw teeth were broken, so he had to have eight implants, which were the latest technology at the time, and all of his upper jaw teeth were bridged.
In a motorbike accident 13 years ago, he suffered a crushed fracture in his right knee, which was held in place by eight titanium bolts.
This time, a small device called a stent has been integrated into my body, and I feel like I'm one step closer to becoming a new man.
After the operation, I feel dramatically better, my steps are lighter and I no longer feel breathless or heavy.
I had been spending my life thinking that this was normal, so I realised that what I had felt was 'age-related decline in physical fitness' or 'due to being fat' was the effect of angina pectoris.
I even feel 20 years younger.
When I told my doctor about it, he said: 'That's good, isn't it? But for the time being, please refrain from strenuous exercise, such as flying or running." He laughed and said.
Then he said, "It's all right, doctor. I have a limp in my right leg, so I can't fly or run." When I said this with a laugh, my doctor gave me a wry smile with a complicated expression on his face, as if to say, 'I've done it.
It is still hot.
In Hiroshima City, the temperature has exceeded 35°C, which makes it a very hot day.
When I came home, I turned the air-conditioner to the highest setting, 18°C, and ran it at full blast.
The sun is so strong that I have to be determined to go to the convenience store which is only a minute's walk away (laugh).
As if they were waiting for me to leave hospital, the Summer Festival started.
In Hero Wars, it is a big event along with the Winter Festival.
I look forward to it every year.
For a while, I've neglected to strengthen my heroes and titans, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to strengthen them a little.
I was in hospital for a week and I want to thank you all for your support.
You have become more reliable while I was away.
I think the guildmaster can be the 30th player, so I don't need to be so strong, but I want to play adventures with all members, so I will level up to adventure 13.
I can't be as good as Sir.Dichotomy of 'Tiger-Bus', so please don't expect too much from me.
Today is the guild battle against 'Tiger-Bus'.
I will take command from today's guild battle.
This week, you have won against "TeamJPN", "Frenchies" and "PoZiTiVe" and come in with a record of three wins and one loss.
Unfortunately, we can't seem to beat Tiger-Bus.
"Wouldn't it be better if I wasn't here?" I am afraid that you might say, "Wouldn't it be better if I wasn't here?" But it seems that Tetora is under a lot of strain, and it is unbearable for me as a Japanese boy to burden Tetora only with my busy schedule, so I think it is best that I, the person with the most free time, take the lead at the moment.
When the guild matures, I think it would be good if various members take turns taking command.
Server 100 has been up and running for less than six months.
It is still in the development stage.
That's why we can expect a lot of growth.
We believe that continuity is the greatest strength.
I am sure that many difficulties await us in the future, but I hope that we will be united in overcoming these difficulties and enjoy the game together with you all as we aim for further progress in the other worlds. ... From byakko
