I normally don't write English on my blog, however, today I really want all of my dearest blog readers (including Japanese people and othersn in different countries) to know what happened in Nagasaki 63 years ago.
I lived in Nagasaki for six years when I went to Nagasaki University.
Nagasaki is one of the most beautiful cities in Japan, however, it once turned to be terrible city when the atomic bomb was fallen in August 9, 1945.
It may be unbelievable, but seventy thousand people died because of atomic bomb, and almost the same number of people died of radioactive poisoning.
Moreover, there are a lot of people who are still suffering from the diseases caused by radioactive poisoning.
Now I live in Nevada State in the U.S. which used to be a famous place of atomic bomb testing site in Tonopah.
I think it is a kind of fate or karma for me to have lived in Nagasaki and Nevada which related to atomic bomb.
If you have time, please visit the following websites;

I strongly would like you to know about Dr. Nagai.
He was a great doctor in Nagasaki Medical University.
You will see how he experienced atomic bomb in Nagasaki, how he worked for the people who got injured by atomic bomb, how he took caare of his children, how people around him thought about him through the website.
And you will also know how he prayed for peace.
Please think about "peace" for one moment.
