For the month of October, I was on a trip with my long distance friends!
We all met up in upstate New York, then traveled to neighboring states like Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts.
A lot of quality time with my friends was spent walking around small towns and talking about "ephemera" we bought or found.
This time of year was really special because the leaves were just changing colors and falling.
The scenery was incredibly relaxing. I would even say it was beneficial for my mental health to get out and see all these beautiful sites.

We also ate really well on this trip!

I had a few items crossed off my bucket list on this trip. The first was going on a boat! We had a fancy dinner on a boat for 2 hours; nice jazz was playing and a well needed cold breeze paired with our hot bread was necessary for my soul 😌

One of my other bucket list items was riding on a train. For some, it might be really common to ride the train frequently, but I've never been in a place that needed trains!
The train was actually comfortable, though, getting the hang of the entry scanners and line maps was a bit of a hassle.
We were taking the train to Salem, MA for the Halloween festivities!

We also visited the Animal Crossing collaboration with the New England Aquarium, something I had wanted to go to since hearing of the first collaboration in Japan!

After this, we made it to NYC, which was probably the worst place for us to get tired.
A whole month of travel and we were running on empty--
It was just me and my best friend at this point (everyone else had gone home) so we did a lot of shopping at Kinokuniya, Daiso and Book Off.
We stopped by Rockefeller Stadium and got some ramen before heading to my last bucket list item...

I never thought I would see this place!
Especially with my friend.
It was all really special.
The next day we took a tour bus of NYC, had a fantastic last meal together and eventually I made my way to the airport.
Somehow I fit all of my clothes and shopping into my small suitcase!
A trip of a lifetime with the people I love.
I miss them all so much, but I know it won't be our last time seeing eachother.
