-In fact to the colors sort of capturing the look of ? was there something you did technically to make those verbal yellow things stand out.
Not really. I actually don't recall with the film stock we used at this point. But we did a lot of tests. Particularly, we looked at various pink colors for the van. We decided it should be yellow not so much on the sunshine to play of the words. We though in terms of wide shot we wanted the bus to stand out on the high way. And we thought yellow would be good way to spot our car. We wouldn't know it would become the marketing color as well. But when we did our test, we weren't really happy with any of the colors that we were considering. But the test happened to shot the parking lot of the camera company and in the parking lot there was a yellow Mustang, a new 2005 car, and it just jumped out us from way back of the parking lot. OMG that's the color, that's what we want.
Once one producer said,
"When we wanted to have a shot with 100 bird flying, we actually flied 100 birds. Nowadays, CG will take care of it. That era was gone."
We used this text to learn about cinematography with handling 16mm camera. And that era was already gone, too! Technology
