Also, according to an interview; Nikkei on May 19, 2011, he seemed to make a decision to compete in the next season. I don't know if it was the good decision as this sport is cruel for the skaters aged 25 and over.
In the interview, he explained about his boot, too.

"...My coach has checked my boot before every performance. While we were waiting for my score after that free style, she kept saying, "It's my fault. I'm sorry." But it was not her fault at all.
Even though we maintain our boots very carefully, we can't completely deny the possibility of the accident like a screw is loosen. In my case, it happened during the performance.
Some people said I didn't have good luck with the competition. But I think skaters need to deal with anything and be responsible for all the things that happen. I think I shouldn't make any excuse for my result..."
